“The Word of God endures forever.”

The Church of Our Lord is a faith community committed to “mere” Christianity.

Any form of Christianity which has not been truly revealed is a distortion of the reality

of God and merely a projection of the values of the particular society onto the concept of

deity. This results in a false god, a distortion of faith and morals, and is not a true work

of God the Holy Spirit.

Our Mission:

+To glorify and praise the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

+To serve our fellow man and woman by sharing the good news of God’s saving

grace through worship, witness, and service.

Our Confession of Faith:

+We believe in one true God existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

+We believe in God the Father who made the heavens and the earth.

+We believe in Jesus Christ, eternally begotten Son of the Father, born of the Blessed

Virgin Mary.  Jesus Christ is true God and true Man.

+We believe that Jesus’ saving grace has come to us through His incarnation,  His

perfect life, and His innocent and representative suffering on the Cross as our

   Priest and Victim.

+We believe that the Resurrection of Our Lord on the third day is an objectively real,

true, and victorious event.  Jesus’ Resurrection is one of the strongest evidences of

the truth of the Christian Faith.

+We believe that, while the Risen Jesus remains with us always, even to the end of the

world, Jesus’ ascended into heaven to the very throne of God with our humanity as a

sign of His triumph and victory where He intercedes for His people.

+Jesus will come again a second time on the Last Day to judge the living and the

dead.   While we believe strongly in the Second Coming as imminent, certain, and

a future reality, we do not dogmatically teach a certain theory concerning the

  millennium and other details.

+We believe that God the Holy Spirit brings people to faith, convinces them of the

identity of Christ and the reality of His work, makes holy the people of God, and

illuminates and empowers them to serve Him faithfully.

+We believe that all people need pardon and forgiveness for their many sins; and we

believe that all who are ultimately saved will be forgiven only because of Jesus and

His Cross.  We believe that Scripture teaches that Jesus died for all people.

+We believe that God the Holy Spirit works principally through the Word of God and the

   Sacraments.

+We believe that the Holy Eucharist is the principal act of worship on the Lord’s Day.

We accept the Sacred Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the written Word Of God and that no deviation from them, the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds, and the teachings of the undivided Church in faith and morals is legitimate and true.
